Chandrabadni Sidhapeeth temple is a famous Mata Durga's temple at the top of the mountain in Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand .35 km from Devprayag and 45 km from Srinagar on Devprayag - Kirti Nagar road. The altitude is 2277 metres .The temple is on Chandrakut mountain amidst the beauty of nature and view of the Himalayan peaks. The area has cold weather but the temple is open throughout the year.
According to the puranic legends Mata Sati's torso and weapons fell here. Therefore some people think this temple is a Shaktipeeth.
Vehicles are parked in Jamnikhal and after about a km trekking we reach the temple.
In the Garbha grihas Shri yantra is worshipped here carved on a flat stone, decorated with silver Chatra . The outer wall of the temple has idols of Bhagwan Shiva and Mata Parvati, Ganesh Ji, Mahakali and Hanuman ji.
The big idols of Hanuman ji and Bhairav ji are near the stairs to the temple verandah, where Mata's vahan a lion statue can also be seen.
There is also a Shrine of Bhagwan Shiva parivar and Shiva lingam.
Tehri Dam is 60 km from the temple.
Navratris are celebrated here and a fair is organised during the April month. A powerful and beautiful place of worship.
