If we count the glorious military battles in the history of independent India till date, one of the most distinct chapters in it is the military operation carried out by India on April 14, 1984 named Operation Megh Doot to protect Siach located in the North Kashmir region from the attack of Pakistan. In the Karakoram Range of the Western Himalayas, India has successfully countered the power challenges posed jointly by Pakistan and China on their northern borders by capturing this important mountain range, which stretches for about 76 km. Some crucial information provided by a mountaineer who served as an officer in the Indian Army led to this troop movement several thousand feet above sea level. Apart from being a patriotic soldier, this man was Colonel Narendra Kumar, who participated in many explorations that raised the country's reputation at the international level and led many complex missions.
