Blue Prince Demo Playthrough (Steam Next Fest June 2024)

Someone put this on my radar a few months ago. I expected a combination roguelike and puzzle game (I was thinking along the lines of Myst or The 7th Guest), but I wasn't expecting it to be far more of the former than the latter.

I'm wondering exactly how deep the full game goes, as it seems like there's opportunities for exploration even outside the estate, which seems potentially the most interesting to me.

It's an interesting mix and a rather unorthodox genre for a roguelike, but I worry that the roguelike parts in the estate itself may become a boring RNG-fest far too quickly unless it's far deeper than the demo lets on. A few rooms have problematically ambiguous descriptions that players seem doomed to learn the intricacies of the hard way.
