Wild Police Pursuit With Hostage Turns Into SWAT Standoff | San Diego

11.06.2021 | 7:20 AM | SAN DIEGO - A Police pursuit started with a physical altercation between a male and female associated with a white Ford van.

A police officer spotted a woman being dragged inside the van before fleeing from the police.

The pursuit continued through city streets, at one point, the pursuit continued through College Grove Shopping center.

Police had multiple successful spikes strips on the tires of the vehicle.

The woman managed to get out of the van after it became disabled at the corner of Lea St. & 54th St.

A handgun was seen being recovered by police from a suitcase that the woman got out of the van with.

Police shot pepper balls inside the vehicle were seen trying to make dialogue with the suspect.

After many hours, the suspect did come out of the van but did not comply with the officers’ orders, she was hit with less than lethal projectiles and a K-9 was used to take him down.
