Danna meadows is the finest, cleanest and greenest meadows of #kaghanValley and I was lucky to have seen this place a month ago when the greenery was at peak.
After a night stay in Shogran and breakfast at kiwai waterfall, we reached khanian at main laghan road by 10 am. khanian is a beautiful place with couple of hotels by the river side. Night can be spent here as well.
From khanian, the jeep takes 10 min to the point where there is no further jeep track ahead. From this point, it may take 6 hrs to reach Danna meadows while passing through the dense forest and watching serene views. We were able to trek this much after the cruel Makra peak hike so we had already lined up horses with the help of jeep driver. Two horses charges us 4000 rupees, 2000 each, and took us to the hidden paradise that is Danna meadows.
Camping is the best option in meadows. There is no hotel or tent for accommodation so either carry your camps or come back after spending couple of hrs. Govt of Pakistan should create opportunities for tourism operators there. As of now, there is no facilitation for tourists.
