《印象・國樂》是音樂會；是舞台戲劇；是行為藝術；是觀念藝術；是中國水墨畫、山水畫風格的極致展示，是音樂形態的深度表達......。

該劇目誕生自2007年，總策劃席強團長希望創作一部能夠體現民族音樂厚重的文化歴史與創新的民族器樂表演劇目。從那畤起，開始與大陸地區眾多敦煌硏究學者、音樂學家、樂器製造商籌劃共同研究復原數千年前的中國古老樂器，讓最有魅力的民族音色能夠在今天被人們聽到、看到，為傳統文化藝術的傳承、為值得敬畏的民族音樂盡一份心力。終於，2013年，一批批的中國古老樂器被成功復原並發出了千年前的聲響。

「印象」系列演出的總導演王潮歌也懷著一顆傳達真正民族音樂的理想以及讓民族音樂走向世界的心願投入到了創作團隊，與中央民族樂團傾盡心力，最終在2013年創造岀首部進駐高雅藝術殿堂的非傳統劇目—《印象・國樂》

"The Impression of Chinese Music" is a concert; it is a stage play; it is performance art; it is conceptual art; it is an utmost display of Chinese ink and landscape paintings; it is a profound expression in the form of music......

The play was born in 2007. The master planner and head of China National Traditional Orchestra, Si Ciang, hoped to create a play stage embodying the rich cultural history and innovative musical instruments of China. Since then, the orchestra has liaised with scholars specializing in various fields, including Dunhuang research, music, and musical instruments manufacturing, intending to revive the thousand-years-ago ancient Chinese musical instruments. They hoped to deliver charming ethnic appearances and sounds of those instruments to today's people and become a part of inheriting and preserving Chinese traditional art and music. Eventually, in 2013, batches of ancient Chinese musical instruments were successfully recovered, and the thousand-years-ago sounds can be played out loud.

The director of the "Impression" series, Wang Chao-Ge, also possesses a true heart and ideal of conveying genuine Chinese music to the world. She and China National Traditional Orchestra made an all-out effort to realize this mission. In 2013, for the first time, the unconventional stage play was altogether created and debuted on the noble palace of arts.
