Yasso 800 Track Session. Victoria went to Worthing athletics track three weeks out from the Paris Marathon to gauge her readiness to attempt a sub 3:50 marathon.

10x800m with 200m recovery walk. Each 800m repeat in 3 minutes 50 seconds or less.

Many runners use Yasso 800s as a rough guide to see if they are on track for their goal marathon time. Intervals are always a good session in your marathon training and Yasso 800s is a tough one.

Some people think Yasso 800s are a marathon predictor. They are not. Just use the session as a guide. Some say Yasso 800s are a pointless marathon training session. They are not. Speed intervals are an essential part of your marathon training and Yasso 800s are no different in that regard.
