Why Iranians Drink More Tea Than Most of Earth

Описание к видео Why Iranians Drink More Tea Than Most of Earth

Today, tea is the national beverage of Iran. Iranians drink so much tea that the country has become the fourth largest per capita consumer of tea in the world. If you have at least one Iranian friend, this is probably not news to you; What you might not know is that a couple of hundred years ago, tea wasn’t really a thing in Iran. In fact, most Iranians were drinking coffee. Iran Untold guest host and volunteer Yara Elmjouie explores how tea became Iran’s #1 drink – and what happened to all that coffee.
