Connecting with people can, at times, feel so difficult. We're so busy and there's so much we want to accomplish in a day. Sometimes we forget how meaningful a few important questions can be in facilitating a good conversation with our loved ones.

Unfortunately, there are good and bad questions when it comes to generating a meaningful conversation. Now I'm not saying this to shame anyone. Nobody is on their "A" game 100% of the time when it comes to using creative and captivating questions, but sometimes we get so used to default questions, we can't help but ask them.

That's where having some ideas around creative questions can be so helpful. Maybe you haven't really put much thought to it. Well this is your sign to start. And asking questions like "what was the best part of your day?" or "what did you do today that was difficult (or challenged you)?" can get your child thinking about their day in a meaningful way.

Once you get that brain going, it's much easier to engage in a real, impactful conversation.

Pro tip: this is true for more conversations than the ones with our children!
