Há um lugar no mundo onde o silêncio tem som.
Não é o silêncio da ausência, mas o da presença plena da terra que respira devagar, sob o peso dos milénios. A Islândia não grita, não se impõe. Ela apenas é. Um território bruto, inacabado, ainda em criação, onde o fogo da terra e o gelo dos céus travam um pacto antigo.
O chão fuma. Fendas abrem-se como sussurros da crosta terrestre. Vulcões dormem com um olho entreaberto e ao lado deles, lagos serenos, de águas cristalinas, refletem as nuvens que passam como histórias não contadas.
As pessoas caminham entre mitos e montanhas, entre a realidade e o que poderia muito bem ser magia. Fala-se de elfos como quem fala do clima com naturalidade, com respeito. Porque aqui, tudo tem alma: as pedras, os rios, o vento...
E há cavalos pequenos e orgulhosos, auroras que pintam o céu como se o universo praticasse a sua caligrafia. Há palavras difíceis que descrevem paisagens impossíveis. Há uma luz ,fria, mas bela... que parece vir de dentro das coisas, como se o próprio mundo estivesse aceso por dentro.
Na Islândia, a natureza não é pano de fundo, é a personagem principal e o tempo anda noutro ritmo, mais próximo do passo das geleiras do que do ponteiro do relógio.
Quem pisa esse solo sente como se algo antigo, adormecido dentro de si, voltasse a despertar.
There is a place in the world where silence has sound.
It is not the silence of absence, but of the full presence of the earth breathing slowly, under the weight of millennia. Iceland doesn't shout, it doesn't impose itself. She just is. A raw, unfinished territory, still in creation, where the fire of the earth and the ice of the skies make an ancient pact.
The ground smokes. Cracks open like whispers from the earth's crust. Volcanoes sleep with one eye half open and beside them, serene lakes, with crystal clear waters, reflect the clouds that pass by like untold stories.
People walk between myths and mountains, between reality and what could very well be magic. People talk about elves as if they were talking about the weather, naturally and with respect. Because here, everything has a soul: the stones, the rivers, the wind.
And there are small, proud horses, dawns that paint the sky as if the universe were practicing its calligraphy. There are difficult words that describe impossible landscapes. There is a light, cold but beautiful... that seems to come from within things, as if the world itself were lit from within.
In Iceland, nature is not a backdrop, it is the main character and time moves at a different pace, closer to the pace of the glaciers than to the hand of the clock.
Anyone who steps on this soil feels something awaken, as if an old, forgotten part of them were breathing again.
