...and when a Kirov is reporting, players start to tremble since Kirovs are destructive forces. One of them is sometimes enough to destroy a base and needless to say it's enough to annihilate an entire base which has no Anti-Air defenses.

Kirovs are available to all the Soviet factions at a price of 2000 resources being of one most expensive units in the entire game along with the Battle Fortress and with the elite naval units.

Kirovs are also one of the most sturdy units in the entire game being able to receive massive damage before being destroyed. And even when they are destroyed they deal a great amount of damage to the target below them, especially if it is a structure which in most cases will be destroyed as well.

Needless to say, Kirov's biggest disadvantage is their extremely slow speed which forbids them from defending your base or chasing enemy Anti-Air units. Thus, their role is most times only one. To destroy structures which it can easily do.

When a Kirov is promoted to elite status it launches tesla bombs instead which as shown in the video doesn't seem to deal any heavier damage. Instead the elite status allows kirovs to drop bombs much faster which may not be necessary against structures since they go down extremely fast anyway.
