Medical Marijuana patients have quite a large variety of products to choose from when visiting their local cannabis pharmacies. The different options can be overwhelming, especially for those who are new to cannabis medicine.

New patients often receive recommendations to start with low-dose edibles (five milligrams of THC or less) and to allow up to two hours for the medication to take effect. The onset time of edibles is slower than any other form of cannabis ingestion, so it's critical to be patient with the process.

It can be tempting to eat a larger-than-recommended dose of cannabis edibles, but the consequence can be an unpleasant experience that lasts several hours.
