"Die Siedler" (The Settlers, Serf City: Life is Feudal) is a city-building and real-time strategy game developed and published by Blue Byte Software in 1993. It was released on the Amiga platform and later for DOS. The game is set in a medieval milieu and the player's goal is to build a settlement with a functioning economy, produce sufficient military units to conquer rival territories and ultimately gain control of the entire map. To achieve this, the player must engage in economic micromanagement, construct buildings, and generate resources. The game was well received for its innovative economic simulation and real-time strategy elements.
