This video clip is about everything that is important for a hedgehog feeding station.

🏠 THE HEDGEHOG FEEDING STATION
I have set up a hedgehog feeding station in my natural garden, in which I feed the hedgehogs.
The hedgehog feeding station has many advantages, it serves the hedgehog as a shelter from predators (fox, badger, marten and eagle owl) and the food offered remains dry when it rains.
A good hedgehog feeding station has two entrances and exits, so the hedgehogs can avoid each other and have an escape route. Each entrance and exit should have a labyrinth in order to prevent cats and raccoons from entering, as they can otherwise eat the hedgehog's food.
The entrance openings and the openings to the feeding area should be 10 cm x 10 cm. The hedgehog should have at least 40 cm x 40 cm as a floor space in the feeding area. If you have rats in your garden, you can also attach rat flaps to the entrances to the hedgehog feeder.
My self-made hedgehog feeding station has a wooden floor because I have noticed that dry cat food that falls on damp ground starts to mold very quickly, and cleaning is better and faster if you line the floor with newspaper. A hedgehog feeding station can also be bought in shops.
