Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Neeraj Pandey indulge in this super funny, witty Cinema Adda chat with Saurabh Dwivedi for their new Hindi film Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, releasing in cinemas on 2nd August, 2024. Ajay and Tabu talk about their friendship since childhood, and later from their first Bollywood film Vijaypath (1994) together to the latest AMKDT. Tabu stumps Ajay Devgn by telling that during college days he used to beat some boys in Juhu, that he drives cars very fast, and that he's very strict as a director. Ajay talks about father Veeru Devgan's journey in Bollywood from spending time in Jail to getting his first film as an action director.
Ajay talks about the time when he used to edit father's films and direct as well. A must watch Kissa Ajay shares that while taking shower he said yes to Mahesh Bhatt for Zakhm and that film got Ajay his National Award. He shares an amazing anecdote of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan recording song for Kachche Dhaage and Anand Bakshi crying for a misunderstanding. Ajay tells whether any of his split action scenes in films – from debut film Phool Aur Kaante to Son of Sardaar are real or not. He discusses doing art films like Omkara, Raincoat, Zakhm, Takshak, more than any other superstar of his time.
Tabu talks about doing Virasat, Maqbool, Maachis, The Namesake, Haider and other art films and her acting process. This interview was filled with comedy and some fun moments unlike any other. Saurabh asked about Ajay's funny hairstyle in the 90s films, his dance ‘skills’ in Ruk Ruk Ruk in Vijaypath and his stiff neck style which irritated director duo Abbas Mustan once. Director Neeraj Pandey talks about his earlier days in Kolkata, becoming a director with A Wednesday and never compromising with his script and direction, no matter who the actor or star.
