Chaparral fresh off their early season bye week looked like they had fresh legs pouncing on Temecula Valley with a Dane Weber rushing TD on their first drive. The Pumas never looked back as Weber spread the ball around to all of his wide receivers. Weber was accurate and deadly throwing 3 touchdowns all to different receivers. Senior Princeton Anderson led in yards receiving with 4 catches for 91 yards and 1 touchdown. Sophomore Michael Farinas had 3 receptions for 78 yards and 1 touchdown. Senior Caden Butler also added a touchdown catch with 45 yards receiving. The Pumas were also dominant on the ground with senior Jayce Venable leading the way with 12 carries for 102 yards scoring 2 touchdowns. QB Dane Weber got in the endzone twice himself with 5 runs for 48 yards. The Pumas defense was solid with constant pressure on the quarterback forcing 3 interceptions in the game. The bright spot for Temecula Valley was a 1st quarter safety, their only points of the game along with Jake Cella making a great over the shoulder catch for 29 yards. Chaparral continues to impress in the CIF Southern Section improving to 3-0 and head to Great Oak this week. Temecula Valley will host Vista Murrieta at home.
