Webinar: HSCC Cybersecurity Working Group: 5 Year Cybersecurity Strategic Plan

Under U.S. critical infrastructure policy coordinated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Healthcare is designated among 15 other industry sectors as “critical infrastructure” and is represented by an industry-organized “sector coordinating council (SCC).” The Health Sector Coordinating Council (HSCC) is a public-private partnership working directly with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (including FDA) and focused on providing cybersecurity practices, resources, and advocacy specific to the healthcare sector.

How might HSCC participation provide value for your organization’s cybersecurity strategy? HSCC mission is to identify systemic cybersecurity threats; collaborate on guidance and policies for mitigating those risks; and promote threat preparedness and incident response awareness and activities across the sector.

In this webinar, Greg Garcia, HSCC Executive Director, will provide an overview of the work done by HSCC, review some specific examples of resources produced by working groups, and discuss HSCC’s recently announced 5-year strategic plan.
