I put this little sort of educational video together to help explain how the pleating pattern works on my last tessellation shirt as well as to show a sneak peek of the idea it sparked for me the other night. I started to wonder if I could step up the complexity… sort of take it to the next level of magnitude. Next thing you know I’m up till 3:30am figuring it out. 🤣 I couldn’t really think of a better way to really translate all this without breaking down how the previous pattern works. So here it is (watch the video) I like to think of that tessellation or pleat pattern as a Zigzagged-Zigzag or a compound zigzag…. Basically: zigzag x zigzag or zigzag squared if you will… 😜

So this next idea, that I’ve now successfully worked out with paper but have yet to try on fabric is a Zigzagged-zigzagged-zigzag, or zigzag cubed!🤪

Anyway the video might clear things up if I’ve confused you after reading that… and may just help you if you’re trying to figure out how to make the pattern on this shirt. Hope it makes some sense.

I don’t really have a blank (that’s appropriate and not spoken for) right now to try this next pattern on so it might be a while but now I’m super curious to try it out!
