The best saying I ever heard is 'Children Learn What They Live' because later in my life, I realised how much it applied to me. Does it apply you too? We can find out if I ask you a few questions:
Do you feel your life is a failure? That you keep making the same mistakes over and over again? Do you keep getting yourself into toxic situations? Do you feel your life is just a catalogue of disasters? And lastly, do you feel very ashamed of how your life has turned out? If you answered 'Yes' to these questions, then may I ask you one more question please? Did you have a toxic or an abusive childhood?
If you also answered 'Yes' to this last question, then it is very likely that you are now repeating toxic patterns in your adult life. You learned these toxic or abusive patterns in your childhood. When you were a child, you were surrounded by abuse and toxic people. As a child, you learned what you lived, therefore these toxic experiences became your 'normal'. As you grew up, you gravitated to what feels 'normal' for you, because this feels comfortable and familiar, even though it is toxic.

Why does this happen?
We do this because we are under the subconscious control of a sinister hidden force called Repetition Compulsion. We are programmed to repeat what we learn as children, even if, sadly, this is abuse. We cannot control this force as it lives in our subconscious minds. Therefore, as we grow up and we gravitate to what feels 'normal' for us, we find ourselves inviting toxic, abusive people back into our lives. We actually recreate the abuse we suffered as children - and we don't even know we are doing this. You would think that coming from a toxic childhood, the last thing we would want is to endure any more abuse in our lives, but in a sad twist, it is the very thing we allow back into our lives - because we are under the control of this toxic hidden force.
I set up this channel and wrote the book 'Your Childhood is Over...No it's Not!' because I spent many years of my life living under the control of Repetition Compulsion. Time and time again, I got myself into abusive situations, just like I had experienced in my childhood. I finally learned to stop doing this when a clued-in therapist explained why I kept making the same mistakes over and over again. I was finally able to stop this toxic force from controlling my life. I want this to happen for you too.

I think the best way to explain this toxic hidden force called Repetition Compulsion, is to give examples, or Tales, from our everyday lives.
Through Tales of Repetition, I will show you how the Bad Messages you take from your childhood, keep you stuck in repeating your toxic childhood.
