NY Naval Shipyard BB-55 - USN USS North Carolina tour

Описание к видео NY Naval Shipyard BB-55 - USN USS North Carolina tour

It's the hollidays and I'm not at home. I'm on the road in my van! It doesn't mean that we can't find something interresting! If you go to North Carolina, this is a great visit to put on your list.

Let's face it, everyone can be intrigued by big battleships with big guns and even bigger guns somewhere else! So here is a preserved one in overall excellent shape.
Built by New York Naval Shipyard, BB-55 USS North Carolina was a US Navy Battleship commissioned in 1941. She served during WWII and became the most decorated US Navy ship during the conflict. Decomissioned in 1960, she became a museum ship since 1962.

This video can't show the whole of the ship. It is much more impressive in real life.

The ship preservation is fully funded by private donation and tickets. They did a very good job at restoring the ship for future generations to enjoy.

Visit their website for more informations on the ship or to make an online donation:

I sure hope you will like this and if there is interrest, I will try to do some more these videos while I'm travelling.

Unlike model trains, I don't own 100s of battleships, especially not of this size!
