Environmental department plans trade fair for organic farmers. Regional and organic products are on trend. In order to give the citizens of Ingolstadt a comprehensive overview of the local organic farming, the environmental unit is planning a trade fair for the autumn under the title "Bio und Regio IN 2020".
Products from organic farms in the region will be presented, but environmental associations and citizens' initiatives will also be able to present themselves at the open-air fair on Saturday, 19 September, in the town hall square.
Ingolstadt has large resources in the organic sector," says environmental officer Rupert Ebner. "We have more organic farmers than in the surrounding counties."
Micro-enterprises and family farms with agricultural products should be given preferential consideration for the fair.
