TOUGH CW QRP POTA ACTIVATION @ KY HORSE PARK | FT-891 | ZM-2 | 9:1 EFRW

I had to head to the local amateur radio club shack to take care of some business early on Saturday morning. As luck would have it, the Kentucky Horse Park is about 3 miles from the shack. After I finished up there, the very dense morning fog had lifted and the temps had risen to an acceptable (for me) POTA level in the mid 50's. Glad, I brought my gear, I headed for the park.

After quickly getting set up, I got on the air. Unfortunately, setting up was the last thing that would be quick for the rest of the activation. I don't know if it was due to band conditions, a contest or my setup, but getting contacts sure was a hard row to hoe!

But in the end, I stuck it out until I got my 10 (actually 11) and then headed home.
