Moong & Moringa Soup
Ingredients :
1 big bunch of Moringa Leaves (cleaned and washed)
1 cup soaked Moong (soaked in water for 5-6 hours)
1 small Ginger Knob
1 medium sized chopped Onion
3-4 Garlic Cloves
Salt as per taste
1.5 cup water
1 spoon Butter
1/2 tsp Carrom Seeds (Ajwain)
1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
Method :
In a pressure cooker, add 1 cup soaked moong
Add 1 cup Moringa Leaves (alternatively cut drumsticks can be used)
Add 1 small Ginger Knob
Add 1 medium sized chopped Onion
Add 3-4 Garlic Cloves
Add Salt as per taste
Add 1 cup water
Fix the lid and cook up to 3 whistles
Open the lid once cooled
Churn boiled mixture in mixie
Seive with food strainer to get smooth texture
Further heat up the vessel and pour this mixture
Add 1/2 cup Water and mix it
For tempering heat 1 spoon Butter in a pan
Add 1/2 tsp Carrom Seeds (Ajwain)
Add 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
Pour this tadka in the soup
Turn off the heat when it starts boiling
Take it in a serving bowl
Squeeze a Lemon on it
