This multi purpose syrup is very easy to make at home. You can use this syrup not only for Gola or shave ice but in ice cream, cocktails, moktails, jam, cookies, cakes and milkshakes.🍧

Ingredients ⬇️

3 cups of sugar
1.5 cups of water
1/2 teaspoon citric acid ( nimbo satt )
Any flavors, I have used Papilon culinary essence

Mix all ingredients and bring to the boil and let it simmer for 15 minutes or until you see oil type of consistency but do not over cook the syrup to avoid thread like consistency, we need same like oil type quality of syrup. Now turn off the heat and allow to cool down, now add flavored essence as per choice there are many flavors you can choose.

The syrup you pour should be thick, otherwise it will easily melt away the crushed ice. But same time if it’s more thick then ice cannot absorb the flavors.

you can adjust the consistency to add little water if your syrup is too much thicker and if it’s more thinner side cook 5 minutes more

I am making small amount of syrup for short video but you have to double up the ingredient quantity if you need more volume of syrup

you can store syrup at room temperature up to the 6 months ( citric acid works well as preservative and helps prevent sugar syrup from crystallizing )
