Hajimemashite || Tokyo, Japan (Pt. II)

For this episode of our family trip, we made a somewhat "last-minute" detour to Japan to visit our family there. Not only was this my first time in Japan, but it was my first time meeting my cousins/extended-family in Japan. Despite language barriers and years of lost time not knowing one another, we still found a way to bond and make memories. It was very endearing and comforting to see a branch of my extended family build lives, cultivate roots, and even grow little sprouts on the other side of the world. Seeing them made me see a reflection of my own family doing the same thing in the U.S. Although my time in Japan was short and there were a lot of things I wish we could've done (e.g. visit Mt. Fuji), I know this longing will bring me back one day.
