My descent of the cables on Half Dome on 9/1/2015.. Due to the abundance of comments regarding the carabiner issue.. I decided to only run one biner the day of the hike.. Originally had a non locking biner to use but the day of that one was nowhere to be found.. My primary reasoning to be clipped in at all was in a scenario where another hiker took a tumble I didn’t want to get take with.. If you’re someone who is afraid of heights or don’t feel your fitness level is up to par then I’d agree with most the comments, two biners would be in your best/safest route..
