Full Route Visual | London Bus Route 121 - Turnpike Lane to Enfield Island Village | (DW535) LJ13CLO

Whilst I was exploring Enfield, I decided to do the 121. The 121 is operated by Arriva London from Enfield [E] Garage using VDL Gemini 2 DB300's - they're not B9TL's nor do they have a B9TL engine. This is my first visual on one of these buses. I'm hoping to complete an Arriva G2 B5 visual soon.
Anyways, the route goes from Turnpike Lane Station, Wood Green, Palmers Green, Southgate, Oakwood, Enfield Chase, Enfield Town, Southbury, Ponders End, Enfield Wash, Turkey Street, Enfield Lock & finally Enfield Island Village.

My experience was rather tiring to say the least. I had two drivers and this is what happened: The first driver was alright. He wasn't that fast and what made it annoying was the roadworks around Palmers Green and Southgate. He then held at Crown Road // Southbury Station for like 5 minutes to regulate service so I was quite annoyed. And to make things worse, he ended up doing a 5 minutes driver change at Enfield Bus Garage. So that was 10 minutes wasting time. The first driver should've just held at the bus garage instead so that he can pass time from there.

So onto the positives, the route was really scenic along the A110 in Enfield, just after Oakwood Station as the driver kind of hit speeds up to 40MPH. The route also had great hills along the Southgate / Oakwood corridor. It was nice to finally have a sunny visual again without my camera overheating at least. The second driver was calm since he waved at the end whilst I was grabbing a quick thumbnail before I rushed over to take the 491 down Silver Street as that route has a poor frequency. How I managed to have made that 491? Idk myself lol. I believe that the people in front were taking their time or it was due to the fact that they didn't know the area that well which worked out good for me.

Enfield Island Village in my opinion should have at least two exits into the area, just in case the bridge gets blocked off for roadworks or if there is an emergency incident revolved around that area. Otherwise, it is a nice route as it passes through 3 different Arriva Garages. Because of this, I don't think Arriva would lose this route at all or in fact anytime soon to be fair lol. I recommend that you do this earlier in the morning lol because it can be a long one to be fair.
