EARLY ARRIVAL Structure Fire Newark Signal 11 New Jersey 11/24/24

Just around 4:45 AM Newark got a call for reported smoke from the second floor of a private dwelling. As the first units started to arrive they entered the house to check further. Upon entering the structure crews relayed that they had a heavy smoke condition inside. While crews inside were searching for the fire one line was being stretched and charged off the first due arriving engine. Crews were able to find the fire on the second floor of the house and started to attack the main body of the fire. A second line was stretched and used to attack the fire. Crews opened up the roof to vent while crews below opened up the ceiling and continued to hit hotspots shortly after the fire was under control. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and there were no injuries reported.
