Описание к видео TEDxWoodsHole - A.M. Dolan - Performing Buckminster Fuller

Actor A.M. Dolan brings designer, engineer and visionary Buckminster "Bucky" Fuller to life through excerpts from R. Buckminster Fuller: The History (and Mystery) of the Universe, a play by D.W. Jacobs. Among Fuller's fantastic, futuristic ideas and inventions was the geodesic dome, one of which still stands in Woods Hole.

A.M. Dolan is an actor and playwright living in Falmouth with his wife Zoe Cardon, senior scientist at the MBL Ecosystems Center. His plays are Five Live Poets (2001), In Country Heaven (2004), and This Verse Business (2010), which received its world premiere in September at the Peterborough Players in New Hampshire. He has acted with the Old Globe Theatre, Huntington Theatre Company, Texas Shakespeare Festival, Wellfleet Harbor Actor's Theatre, Payomet Performing Arts Festival, New Rep, New Century Theatre, and Stoneham Theatre among others. Favorite roles include Matthew in Private Eyes, Malvolio in Twelfth Night, Horatio in Hamlet, Duvid in A Shayna Maidel, Frank Sweeney in Molly Sweeney, Pincus in The Front Page, Danny in First Night, and Jesus in Godspell.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
