Everything About Moomin World and the Moominvalley

In 1945 author and illustrator Tove Jansson wrote the first book about the Moomin, and things have only escalated since then. The Moomin have become an international sensation, and are known all over the world. I decided to travel to Finland and visit Moomin World to learn more about these Finnish trolls.

In this video I dive into the history of the Moomin, and their many media appearances. There's been books, comics, games, and TV-series. The TV series in particular is an interesting topic since most people only know about the 90s animated cartoon, and the new one from 2019. But there's more. There's a lot more.

Aside from that I also explore Moomin Valley itself and meet the colorful characters you can find here, from the Moomin family with Moominpappa, Moominmamma and the Moomintroll, to other characters like Mrs Fillyfjonk, Little My, Sniff, Stinky, Too-Ticky, and so many others.

And speaking of the characters inhabiting Moominvalley, they all have a surprising amount of depth for being cartoon characters. Why did Moominpappa change after his journey with the Hattifatteners, for example? And how is Snufkin's and the Moomintroll's relationship significant? There's a lot to explore when it comes to the hidden depths of Moomin.
