Why Liam Isn't Talking | APRAXIA OF SPEECH

Liam is my autistic 4 year old toddler but he is also considered nonverbal or nonspeaking. Autism and delayed speech usually goes hand in hand but I always felt like it was something more. This week I found out he has Childhood Apraxia of Speech and Developmental Coordination Disorder, or Dyspraxia. Let's talk about what this means, how his Speech-Language Pathologist & Occupational Therapist came to this conclusion, and how we can best support Liam.
