Salah satu kuih tradisi yang digemari ramai ialah Kuih Talam Berlauk Daging. Kuih talam berlauk ini tidak muak dan sedap dimakan. Kuih talam ini boleh disimpan selama 3 hari dalam peti sejuk dan 1 hari jika disimpan pada suhu ruang.

Jumlah Hidangan : Anggaran 34 keping

❤️INTI DAGING :
2 sudu besar minyak masak
1/2 biji bawang besar (didadu) atau 1 biji jika kecil
2-3 ulas bawang putih (cincang halus)
15 gm serbuk kurma/kari daging/sup | 2 sudu besar
7 gm serbuk ketumbar | 1 sudu besar
80 ml air | 1/3 cawan
280-300 gm daging kisar
1/2 ketul kiub pati daging (optional) ** tertinggal dalam video
Garam secukupnya
Gula secukupnya
Serbuk lada sulah secukupnya

❤️ADUNAN TALAM :
200 gm tepung beras | 1 & 3/4 cawan
45 gm tepung gandum | 1/3 cawan
15 gm tepung jagung | 1/8 cawan
1 sudu teh garam
200 ml krim santan KARA | 1 kotak kecil
780 ml air | 3 & 1/8 cawan

❤️HIASAN :
Bawang goreng
Hirisan daun sup
Hirisan cili merah

📢NOTA:
1. Balut penutup pengukus dengan tuala/ kain tebal supaya wap air tidak menitik di atas kuih.
2. Pastikan air kukusan telah mendidih sewaktu mengukus kuih.
3. Boleh kukus menggunakan loyang 8x8 inci.

Beef Talam Cake is an another crowd pleasing talam cake. This steamed cake is made of mainly rice flour and coconut milk, and topped with cooked minced beef, fried shallots, chopped Chinese celery and sliced red chilies. It is delicious and addicting! The cake can be kept at room temperature for a day and can lasts up to 3 days when chilled.

❤️BEEF FILLING :
2 tbsp cooking oil
1/2 onion (diced) or 1 if small size
2-3 cloves of garlic (minced)
15 gm korma/beef curry/soup powder | 2 tbsp
7 gm coriander powder | 1 tbsp
80 ml water | 1/3 cup
280-300 gm minced beef
1/2 beef stock cube (optional) ***sorry, I've missed this part in the video
Salt to taste
Sugar to taste
White pepper powder as required

❤️TALAM BATTER :
200 gm rice flour | 1 & 3/4 cups
45 gm all purpose flour | 1/3 cup
15 gm cornstarch | 2 tbsp
1 tsp salt
200 ml KARA's coconut cream | 1 small box
780 ml water | 3 & 1/8 cups

❤️TOPPINGS :
Fried shallots
Chopped Chinese celery
Sliced red chilies

📢NOTES :
1. Wrap the steamer lid with thick towel/cloth to avoid water vapor from dripping onto the cake.
2. Make sure to boil the water in the steamer before steaming the cake.
3. Alternatively, you can use an 8x8 inches baking pan to steam the cake.
