Drafting a PERSONALISED Pattern Diagram. A Step-by-Step Guide to Making VIKING KIT that FITS!

Learn how to turn a set of measurements into your own personalised pattern diagram for a Viking Age Tunic (Kirtle) or Dress. This tutorial covers both types of garment and once you have learned this method, you can adapt it to make more complex garments later in your sewing journey.In this video I will take you step by step through my method for patterning simple viking age garments from a set of measurements. I also cover how to be sure your gores will allow a good fit over the hips and making a neckline template so you can get close fitting, comfortable necklines. At the end we will talk about how to make a cutting plan so you can be sure you have enough fabric for your project, or have an accurate idea how much you need to buy. This is a long video, but it needs to be so that you can feel confident in the process and have all the information you need to make a garment that fits well.
