"Anime Phenomenological Reduction" is a piece intended for mixed choir (anime voices). The choir imitates the vocalization by sampling voice from existing anime (with reference to pitch-analyzed sheet music) and reproducing them. Any sound equipment or devices may be used for the performance.

By simultaneously vocalizing multiple different lines sampled from existing anime, the meaning of the words is lost, and a reduced, auditory representation (sound object) of "anime" is presented.
