Tājul Ulama more fully, Sayyid ˈAbdur-Rahmān al-Bukhāri, Ullal Thangal, (1 January 1920 – 1 February 2014) was the President of Samastha till 2014. He is the well known Sunni Muslim scholar in Kerala, South India. He served as the Khazi of Ullal & Principal of Sayyid Madani Arabic College, Ullal, President of Jamia Sa-adiya Arabic College & much more institutions. Known as the Crown Among the Clerics, Tajul Ulama, Ullal Thangal. Mostly known as walking encyclopedia of islam, the Great Master of Many thariqaths, Qazi(Mufthi) of more than 300 Mohallas in Kerala & Karnataka. Dedicated thousands of scholarly talents to the community. What he saved for us during his 96 years of sacrificial life was a moment of inadequate role modelling.
