In Maple Ridge, BC, certain neighborhoods have higher crime rates, social challenges, or infrastructure issues compared to others. Haney is known for its higher concentration of crime, especially around the downtown core, with concerns about drug use and property crime. Port Haney, adjacent to the downtown area, has a mix of industrial and residential zones and faces similar challenges, though ongoing redevelopment efforts aim to revitalize the area. Albion also has pockets with higher-than-average crime, though it's mostly a residential and family-oriented area. Each of these neighborhoods is actively working on improvements, but residents often mention safety concerns in these spots compared to other parts of Maple Ridge.
