Rush Red Barchetta Cover Using Alesis Strike Pro SE and Superior Drummer 3

I am really liking the Alesis Strike Pro 3, but I realized for recording, the built in module sounds were just not quite up to par. So I bit the bullet and got Superior Drummer 3. The sounds in there are fantastic, and though it's been an extra layer of learning curve, hopefully it will be worth it. I'm a huge Rush nerd, and spend countless hours as a teen trying to learn all the tunes. I was hoping I'd remember this one, though I hadn't tried playing it in like 25 years. This was as good as I could get it from memory after a few tries, without sitting down to practice it with the original. I know it's far from perfect! It was also a good excuse to try to build a Neil kit out of SD3 sounds. This is a hybrid of Pearl, Ludwig, and Yamaha drums. I decided to leave in some missed triggers, some hihat misfires, just cause they truly represent where I am right now with this kit and all it's million setting variables. I learned that I have a ways to go with dialing this all in. I learned that it's really hard to play Rush songs on an electronic kit. And I remembered it's REALLY HARD TO PLAY RUSH PERIOD! RIP, Neil. Always my guy.

This was just for fun and to showcase some of the SD3 sounds. I own no rights to this song, and will make no money from this video. Go listen to the original. It's fantastic.
