You can spend up to $800 having your transmission filter changed. It is a technical job that requires some experience to carry out. In my full DIY guide I cover all of the steps to ensure you can easily follow along and carry out the job and save yourself a heap of money!

Automatic transmission fluid and filters need to be changed at regular intervals. This if determined by your driving style and how you use the vehicle. I usually recommend changing transmission oil every 40-60k depending of the vehicles use. If you are towing at full load all day everyday then the oil will need to be changed every 40k and the filter every 80k. If you commute in your vehicle and rarely tow you can push the oil change out to 60k and filter change at 120k. This schedule will ensure reliability and longevity of your automatic transmission.

Cheers Guys :)
