Maharashtra's Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Prisons Meera Borwankar - the first woman IPS officer from the state was among the five Maharashtra senior cops who was in the jail when Yakub was hanged. Meera Chadha Borwankar was the first ever women to be posted as Commissioner of Mumbai Crime Branch in its 150-year long history.Now She is posted in Delhi.

the investigative force of 300 police officers is definitely a feast.Meera belongs to India’s smallest big town Fazilka. She had made her entire community feel proud to have her as their daughter.At present, she is working as Special Inspector General of Police, CID State Crime Branch, stationed at Pune.
