GHOUL on Robbs MetalWorks 2024

There's always been a type of nonsensical intrigue with band's that take on public personas OR an unconventional character; and while these bands are fun to interview, they are actually the most challenging,....because you have to be witty enough to counter the band's banter, but also maintain an informative & progressive interview. I first experienced that with GWAR back in 1997 (in support of the band's 'Carnival of Chaos' release) & it was so ungraceful I vowed to never do it again. However, since that time we have seen more & more bands follow this schtick & to say their music takes an unwavering 'back seat' would be a true understatement. However, when Creepsylvania (aka Oakland, CA) mutants, Ghoul (Official) LATEST release, 'Noxious Conconctions' (via Tankcrimes Records) crossed my desk I was pleasantly suprised. I was enthusiastically taken by their eerie, horror filled soundbites, their speedy riffs, the dual vocal attack & how they so seamlessly blend their musical approach to lend to their chaotic characters. I am definitely a fan & despite the aforementioned vow, I knew I wanted to get them on RMW to discuss this record. SO, on March 8th, 2024 when the band stopped through San Antonio (in support of Municipal Waste) I took the liberty to sit down with Dissector, Digestor & Cemator to discuss the following: the band's origins, the delay in this release, touring plans, what to expect at their lives shows & how to cook meth! I was TRULY happy on how this one came out & I hope you will not only enjoy it too, but take the time to listen to 'NC'. It really is a solidly good release & I know you will dig it!
