Chasing the Chehalis Steam Train 7-1-18

Having serious steam withdrawals after my 4449 chase a few months back, I decided to pay a visit to the Chehalis-Centralia Railroad in Chehalis, Washington. Their 2-8-2 logging mikado #15 was fired up and ready for another season of pulling trains through the scenic Chehalis River valley.

I arrived a bit early to catch some the switching in preparation for the first departure of the day, then proceeded to chase the train to Milburn where #15 was cut off and ran around the coaches for the return trip to Chehalis tender-first. The engine sounded great and both the passengers and crew looked like they were having a good time.

Be sure to watch in 1080p and crank up those speakers! I apologize for the wind noise in some of the shots as it was quite a windy day.
