Integration of Metabolic Pathways in the Fasting State and during Starvation

This video explains how various metabolic pathways are integrated in the postabsorptive state, fasting state, prolonged fasting state, and starvation. Integration of metabolic pathways or metabolic pathways integration both in the fed state and fasting state can be studied when all pathways come together as one to provide all the necessary requirements of our cells. Metabolic pathways run in an integrated manner to provide necessary requirements of the cells.
Metabolic pathways integration or integration of metabolic pathways can be studied separately as the pathways that are integrated in the postabsorptive state, fasting state, prolonged fasting state, and starvation under the influence of glucagon. While integration of metabolic pathways is also studied when the person is in the fed state. In this video I have explained the integration of metabolic pathways under in the postabsorptive state, fasting state, prolonged fasting state, and starvation. This video covers briefly digestion and absorption of carbohydrates, lipids and proteins, Metabolism of each these molecules in the liver, brain, RBC, skeletal muscle, adipose tissues and other tissues is explained. Some of the main pathways that are covered here are glycolysis, glycogen synthesis, fatty acid synthesis, triglyceride synthesis, cholesterol synthesis, lipoprotein metabolism, protein synthesis, synthesis of nitrogen containing substances.
