Skar King Suite | Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (Original Soundtrack) by Tom Holkenborg

Outside of Ghidorah I think Skar King is my favorite main antagonist in a Monsterverse movie. He was threatening, sinister, and honestly should've appeared more considering how late he appears into the movie. Despite all the praise, I'm mixed on his theme. The soundscape for Skar King is incredible, with tribal percussion and ape chants and howls giving him the exact right atmosphere he needed. But his motif is an incredibly bare three note motif that doesn't really do anything for me. I think the soundscape of Skar King makes up for it and gives him a really unique musical language, I just wish his motif was more interesting than a doddling three note motif.
