CAP Ideas 2019: Speaker Nancy Pelosi

Following President Donald Trump’s disappointing decision to back out of a planned bipartisan infrastructure package earlier that morning, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) spoke with Center for American Progress President and CEO Neera Tanden at the 2019 CAP Ideas Conference about her current significant concerns with President Trump and the swell of democratic advancement in politics. From passing bills such as the Equality Act, the For the People Act, the Paycheck Fairness Act, and so many more, to greatly increasing the number of women representatives in Congress, House Democrats have been representing the will of the majority of the United States.
