Buttermilk Pound Cake| Soft

Dry ingredients :
3 cups Cake flour (OR) All Purpose Flour

Alert- For all purpose flour :
Measure 3 cups AP flour and remove 3 tablespoons of AP flour and Replace with 3 tablespoons of cornstarch. This makes cake flour which will produce a soft and moist cake.
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/8 teaspoon salt
3 cups Granulated Sugar

Wet Ingredients: All ingredients should be room temperature………..
5 eggs
2 Sticks Softened Butter Unsalted ….
2-3 tablespoons fresh lemon 🍋 juice
1 cup Buttermilk
2 teaspoons Pure Vanilla Extract
1/2 Stick Butter shortening or Regular shortening

Icing:
2 cups powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
3 teaspoons lemon 🍋 juice (freshly squeezed)
2 teaspoons unsalted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dash Salt

Preheat Oven 325 degrees
Grease pan with butter, cooking spray or shortening
… Bake 45-50 min or until toothpick comes out clean ……
