The notion that all ''real'' scholars are in prison is a baseless and inaccurate doubt brought up by the ignorant, which stems from the methodology of the khawaarij! While some scholars throughout history may have faced persecution or imprisonment due to their correct belief, stances on innovation and shirk, it is a gross generalisation to assume that all scholars share this fate. It is essential to recognise and avoid perpetuating stereotypes that may contribute to misunderstanding or misrepresentation of the scholars of Ahlu as-Sunnah.
