SD40-2s on the BNSF Railway -Prime 920 Horn, Run 8, and action on the mainline-

The SD40-2s was once the backbone, and staple of railroads back in its day. BNSF still rosters a fleet, which make it out onto the mainline from time to time.

We'll start off in the Fall of 2021 chasing BNSF 1687, with an SD60M, as it leads a mainline train west on the Staples Sub. Along the way, we'll hear its fouled Prime 920 horn, and watch it be overtaken by a Z train. The second train is powered by two SD40-2s, and is seen screaming through Fridley, MN as it accelerates west. The two units were really giving it their all to get the heavy manifest moving, and up to track speed.
