Johannesburg, 19 October 2013 - African leaders recently met in Addis Ababa to deliberate on whether or not to pull out of the Rome Statute and thus the International Criminal Court. Although the majority voted to remain within the juridstriction of the ICC, they demanded certain reforms of the International Court. With the current case of Kenya's president, Uhuru Kenyatta, and his deputy, William Ruto, as well as the numerous other African leaders before the court, the relationship between the ICC and Africa has come under the spotlight.

Guests: Koffi Kouakou, senior lecturer at the Wits Business School, Executive director of the Open Society Initiative in South Africa, Sipho Malunga and Tiseke Kasambala of Human Rights Watch.
