KIA KEY FOB AND TRUNK LID SWITCH REPAIR

Описание к видео KIA KEY FOB AND TRUNK LID SWITCH REPAIR

The switches of the trunk lid and the key fob of many KIA and Hyundai cars, like Rio and i20/30, aren't of the best of quality. The key fobs rubber pad can fall into pieces and the same goes for the rubber covering the trunk lid switch.

When the later happens, moisture slowly starts to enter the switch. The little micro switch inside will eventually get stuck in an "open"/pushed in position. Like this the trunk lid will open on its own a bit randomly, kind of like a "ghost"-opening of the trunk.

How to replace the old defect switch with a new one is shown in this video. And with that job done it was then time to replace the key fobs rubber pad.

A new pad was ordered from Bilkey in Denmark and many Kia and Hyundai cars use the same part.
