You'll need a few specialty tools to modify your seat if you don't want to use the spacer provided by the swivel shop. If you do use the spacer, you don't need anything special except for the screw drivers, sockets, and torx heads necessary for removing and re-installing your stock seat.

The benefit of the swivel seat from The Swivel Shop is that it is very low-profile. This reduces the added height, and helps the person sitting in the seat still reach the ground (unless you're very short).
